Callum Wilson and Michael Antonio have suggested that a move to Chelsea is a possibility for Harry Kane, now that Mauricio Pochettino is set to take over at Stamford Bridge.
Multiple outlets over the last few months have suggested that Old Trafford is Kane’s most likely destination in the summer, with Man Utd thought to be prioritising a move for the 29-year-old (Daily Star).
However, with Pochettino now on the verge of becoming confirmed as Chelsea boss (TEAMtalk), some outlets have suggested recently that a move to West London could be on the cards for Kane.
The latest such report came from The Independent, who claimed a couple of days ago that the Argentine has discussed the possibility of signing the Tottenham striker with the Stamford Bridge hierarchy.
Antonio and Wilson both believe that a move across London cannot be ruled out for the England captain despite the rivalry between the two clubs.
While discussing the possibility, Wilson asked on The Footballer’s Football Podcast: “Who’s Chelsea and Tottenham’s rivals? Are they not each other? Or is it like other teams?”
Antonio responded: “I don’t really know who Chelsea’s rival is. Tottenham is more Arsenal.”
Wilson added: “You get what I am saying?! Pochettino. Kane out-of-contract. Maybe, ayyy. Maybe, you know.”
Antonio agreed: “That is a possibility.”
Spurs Web Opinion
There is a long list of reasons why a move to Chelsea is not on the cards for Kane, with the most obvious one being that Levy would never consider such a sale.
The 29-year-old would also be aware that moving to Stamford Bridge would destroy his legacy with Spurs, which is why it is a complete non-starter.
